Rotor power meters are crank power meters and are available in two different versions. There is the single-sided measuring rotor INpower and the double-sided rotor 2INpower. In unilateral training systems, the force on the left side is measured and then doubled. This gives the rider’s total power output, which is expressed in watts. In the case of double-sided systems, measurements are taken on both sides. Therefore, bilateral power meters are more accurate and provide more information for the analysis of the training data. With these systems, for example, the distribution of the power of the left and right leg can be evaluated separately.
A big advantage is the compatibility of the Rotor Road Powermeter to a wide range of bikes. The cranks are compatible with all bottom bracket standards on the market. Zude can the oval Q-Ring Rotor chainrings but also all standard chainrings of other manufacturers are mounted.
The Rotor power meters are compatible with all common bike computers and fitness watches. We recommend the Garmin bike computer and the Wahoo bike computer as headunit for the powermeter.
Rotor INpower Powermeter
The Rotor Power Meter is suitable for beginners as well as ambitious cyclists. The Rotor Power Meter is the cheaper version. The assembly is quick and easy. The measurement technology was mounted in the left crank axle and is thus protected from moisture and dirt. The Rotor Power does not need to be readjusted. If you already own a Rotor crankset, you can only order the left crank side of the Rotor Powermeter. One standard AA battery powers the Rotor Power Meter. The Rotor INpower features ANT+ technology, which ensures that almost any bike computer can be connected to the power meter.
Rotor 2INpower Powermeter
The Rotor 2INpower was presented by Rotor in 2016. The Rotor Power Meter is suitable for ambitious cyclists as well as professionals. The measurement technology of the Rotor2INpower is installed on both sides. The measuring strips are located in the crank axle and in the right crank arm. The values from the right and left side are then displayed separately on the bike computer. The Rotor Power Meter measures power, cadence, balance, torque efficiency and pedal smoothness. As with the other Rotor Power Meter, it features ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart technology.
Rotor Q-Rings chainring
The chainring of Rotor Power is not to compare with other chainrings. The shape of the chainring is oval and not round. The oval shape of the rotor Q-ring, ensures better performance. Better performance comes from using a larger muscle group in the legs and this provides greater power development. Also the dead center when pedaling is eliminated. Due to the smoother and rounder ride, the muscles tire more slowly. With the chainring Rotor Power offers the rider the possibility to adjust the chainring individually, so that he can achieve the greatest possible power development.
About Rotor
Two friends, named Pablo Carrasco and Ignacio Estelles, believed in 1994 that they could create something big. Many others have failed at this notion. You set out to eliminate the dead spot when pedaling. Both wanted to change bicycle technology. They began to develop the first prototypes. Furthermore, they filed worldwide patents against other suppliers. Today, the company Rotor offers two power measurement systems on the market. Rotor does not specialize in any rider class, so whether you are a beginner or a pro, we have the right powermeter for you. Rotor is represented in many cycling sports. It offers its products for the road bike, cyclocross bike, triathlon bike and also mountain bikes. But the company Rotor does not only sell power measurement systems, but also chainrings and bottom brackets.
